Sydney - Sydney Fish Market (3 July 2010)

People who know me well enough would know how much I love eating fish. Even before I went to Sydney, I was already very excited at the thought of visiting Sydney Fish Market.

So the day finally came and NJ4 can attest to the crazy amount of excitement I had that day!

Super duper fresh and thickly sliced sashimi!!!

After we had our stomachs filled, NJ4 and I took a walk around and took snapshots around.

Anzac Bridge

Just before we left Sydney Fish Market, we needed a sweet snack and so we got this expensive-but-very-delicious ice cream cookie!

You know how they say that food tastes better when you fight for it? Yup, so that was exactly what we did!

By the time we left Sydney Fish Market, it was already mid-day, so we rushed down to Paddington Market! Sadly, nothing caught my eye, but the items sold there were pretty interesting and unique.

And that, was another day spent in Sydney!

Sydney - Grand Pacific Drive (2 July 2010)

The weather wasn't fantastic on the day we planned to go on a mini roadtrip to Grand Pacific Drive, but we went ahead anyway!

Sydney - 1 July 2010

After all the procrastination and 2 weeks worth of unnecessary pain, it is time to continue posting on my trip to Sydney.

I woke up on Day 2 and felt like I was the most blessed girl around because I got to snuggle with NJ4 the entire night. Little did I know... So anyway, Day 2 in Sydney was filled with so much sightseeing and food!

It was a lazy morning for us that day, and when we finally managed to pull ourselves out of bed reluctantly, we headed for some grub at In Chan Thai!

Went back home for dessert, the Tiramisu that NJ4 made for me!

Nom nom nom!

We then hit town and the weather was rather warm and kind to us that day!

After all the walking and sightseeing, it was time for tea and our happy feet brought us to Guylian! Chocolate is my Number 1 happy food, so it was no doubt I was practically bouncing off the walls.

And the last 2 stops for the day were Chinatown and Paddy's Market!

Mmmm, the Emperor's Puff was totally satisfying especially when eaten immediately. Imagine hot and thick custard oozing out from a soft yet chewy shell, and when eaten on a cold day, the feeling was really quite orgasmic!

And that, in a nutshell, was how we spent our day together. =)

And again, I woke up choking back hot tears. I wonder how long it will take before I stop breaking down suddenly at work, at home, in the shower, before bed time, and upon waking.

2 kg in a week is definitely not funny. And I thought July could be a month filled with happy posts from my trip to Sydney. Sadly, all that I brought home was a whole luggage of pain and more. I deserve better, I think I do.

Tuesday, July 27, 2010

Despite knowing the fact that I'd be arriving in a few hours' time, she still wanted to go over to spend time with him. That night, he was over at his friend's place, but what happened after he got home, I do not know.

I should trust him when he said that no, she did not go over after he got home, but after all that has happened, I find it hard, so very hard, despite how much I really want to believe.

I wake up everyday, hoping that this is just a nightmare, but it isn't. Waking up to a piercing heart is simply not nice. Sure, time will heal, but the scars will stay.

My suspicions were true. Yet I've been fooled around by them, which led me to think that perhaps I was being way too analytical and overly-suspicious.

The man I love, the woman girl involved, and the housemate. Lie after lie. I feel like a fool. And I was made to apologise to her for something that I should be the one being apologised to instead.

Been troubled since I was there, all the way till last night, when everything tumbled out. There's only so much I can take. Have any of you thought about me for a moment, that I'm only human, and there's only so much pain a living soul can take.

I'm hurting, and none of you will ever understand the pain I'm experiencing, unless you're being put through the same load of shit as I was put through. What did I do to any of them to deserve this?

Sydney - 29 & 30 June 2010

Back from Sydney for 4 days and I'm already missing the fresh crispy air there. I don't dig the winter weather, but the light thin air was really very refreshing to breathe in every single day!

I went to work as usual, but with crazy excitement that I could barely contain in me, and when it was time to knock-off, I sped off to the airport, anticipating and counting the hours before I could cuddle in the arms of NJ4.

After being up in the air for 7.5 hours, I finally touched down on the soils of Down Under. At 6.30am, my arrival was half an hour earlier than estimated, hence NJ4 was not there yet. I took a walk outside of the airport, 1 round around the carpark and boy did I almost freeze in the 1 degree celcius weather!

The boyfriend finally arrived and off we sped to his home!

The boyfriend had a very pleasant surprise waiting for me since the day before I arrived, and this was what he made for me, with the help of 2 other sweet angels:

TIRAMISU!

After unpacking a little, it was time to hit town, and so we did!

I miss Sydney, and I miss the boyfriend. Baby, you and I know what you've put me through of late. With renewed promises, I hope you adhere to them. iloveyou.

Back From Down Under

After 3 weeks of absence, I am back in (humid) Singapore. Goodbye Sydney, goodbye cool weather, goodbye nice sceneries, and goodbye darling. I will see you back in Singapore this coming November. Till then, I love you, everyday.

It Is Today!

In right about 12 hours' time, I'd be seated comfortably on my SQ flight, containing the excitement that is bubbling within me as best as I can. Oh my, I wonder how am I going to get through work today. My heart has already flown to Down Under!

Thursday, June 24, 2010

By right, my flight to Sydney was booked for 1st July, but on the spur of moment as NJ4 and I were chatting over MSN, something sparked me to want to go over earlier, as much as he wanted me there sooner! So by maxing out the number of days of annual leave I have, I'm heading to Sydney 2 days earlier!

29th June, I can't wait for your arrival! =D

Learning Journey, Team Bonding & More

Today we had a learning journey and team bonding activity held for all the support staffs in the school, and I'm so glad I went for it!

We had a guided tour/walk from Hort Park till the end of Henderson Waves, followed by lunch at Safra and then a 2 hours bowling session.

In between lunch and bowling, we had a lot of spare time to kill, so we walked around and I bought shorts from E-Mart. We walked somemore and lo and behold, there was a function room which was holding a 1 day Kate Spade sale!

I went in and I was totally smitten by this bag:

I am not sure how many percent was that bag on sale for, because it was not stated anywhere, but I reckon it was about 10% off? Needless to say, I own this baby. =)

I'm Ready!

With 18 more days to go, I know it is a little too soon to be totally packed for my trip to Sydney, but I am! Weighing in at 14kg, and with just a couple of daily essentials left to be thrown in, my luggage is otherwise ready! Every single item is ziplocked and vacuum packed, and I really mean EVERYTHING. I feel so military. Hahaha!

Thanks to my Sister-In-Law for lending me this huge-but-not-too-huge luggage, together with the awesome vacuum packs and a couple more other stuffs. =)

A Year Went By

So it has been exactly a year since Dada left us, which also marks the 1st Anniversary since my 3rd Pneumothorax attack. Funny how a year had past, yet everything from that night is still so fresh and vivid in my head.

With this, it also means that in just a couple of days' time, it would be a year since Sparky went missing. =(

I miss, I miss, I miss.

Does it mean anything at all if someone has thoughts of ending one's life every so often? How serene it would be to be free from life's evil clutches, and love's painful stabs. Even friends fail you sometimes.

So really, is there any special meaning for one to harbour after-life thoughts?

Cookie Monster Part II

I have a little terror in the house. Small in size, but big in quirky habits and nonsensical traits.

This morning, after my Dad sent me to my work place, he went back home and found that the shoes under the chair by the main door was disarray, and there was a pile of havoc made by the little one.

Cookie pulled the floor mat and towels from all over the 1st level of the house and lumped them together in the living hall, and as if that wasn't already enough, he even brought 1 side of the backyard slipper and nestled it within the towels. In addition, he had his biting bone and tug toy in that pile of lumpy mess. The red mat is pretty heavy, so I really wonder how he managed to drag it for such a distance!

He is such a terror, our little terror. =)
