From Sydney, with love. Thank you for the awesome Zumbo pastries, and thank you for the customized coke can. =)

Hong Kong - 20 Oct 2011
On the 2nd day of our Hong Kong trip, we went to Disneyland for some kiddy fun! But of course, prior to a whole day of play, we went to fill our growling tummies first!
People have said that HK is Dim Sum paradise. Everywhere you go, you'd be able to find Dim Sum eateries. Whoever said that, lied. We found it so hard to locate Dim Sum eateries and so when we chanced upon this eatery, I literally kept my fingers crossed and hoped that the food would be decent.

I was immediately sold. And we came back two more times thereafter. =)
With our fully armed stomachs, we did a quick look-see at Citygate Outlets before heading to Disneyland.

Mehmeh obviously had balls of fun too! LOL!

HERE WE GO!!!!!

At chow time, we decided to try out the atas foodcourt, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised that the food tasted really good! I was half expecting the food to be mediocre.
The people in Hong Kong really know how to have fun during the Halloween period, and we saw loads of dressups!

One of the many

The night ended with fireworks and pretty lightings on the buildings.

Hong Kong - 19 Oct 2011
It's been a week since I came back from Hong Kong, and I must say that it was quite a good trip. Loads of walking, not much eating, loads of sightseeing, not much shopping. I guess that's how my trip went in a nutshell.
So anyway, pictorial update with minimal words as usual!

The MTR underpass walkway that leads to our hotel.

Our 5-star hotel! =D

Cute Halloween decorations along the sidewalk, outside our hotel.

Our first meal in HK!
After our very late lunch, we went for a walkabout at Avenue of Stars.

We headed to Mong Kok thereafter to walk around Ladies Market, and the area.

We had a go at the smelly tofu, and boy was it really smelly! I remembered the ones I tried in Singapore was actually quite good. I think it was the chilli we added that killed the smelly tofu. But at least we ended the day with some pretty awesome mustard fries!
And so, that's Day 1.

New Addition, AGAIN!
Within a span of a few days, I got 2 megamehs joining my already extensive family. Last Friday, I got a female, courtesy of NJ4, and I think she's really pretty!

My black beauty.

The couple.

My happy family.
Did a quick mental calculation and realized that the total worth of all my mehmehs is approximately S$500. Wow!

New Addition!

I feel so wronged and misunderstood. I thought they were more supportive than that, I thought their love was unconditional. I don't deal with anger in the healthiest manner, so I hate being overly angry. But I'm angry now, very angry in fact.
Having an attitude does not mean that one has a character problem. It just means that he/she is more expressive than what others can accept.

Yellow Ribbon Prison Run '11
The boyfriend and I had our first run event together last Sunday, and it was pretty okay. There were so many upslopes that almost killed my mood, so we walked a lot along those upslopes. Surprisingly, the time we clocked for 10km was still good, the same as what I did for my last run event 2 weeks ago.

Hot and sweaty after 10km.
We fueled ourselves with Ayam Penyat at Bedok, and it is always awesome to have a good meal after such runs.

Like always, sweet success.

Change
The shift finally happened, the day finally came. Come Monday, it won't be Triple One I will be heading to anymore, but Mapletree Business City. Just overnight, my travelling time per trip tripled, from half an hour to 1.5 hours. I dread the upcoming 3 hours travelling journey daily.
Anyway.. Friday was crazy because once I got to office, I just sat around and sipped my coffee while we all waited for the movers to shift our final boxes as well as our PCs.

And as we waited, we left memories on the wall.

Met the boyfriend for lunch which was most probably our last lunch at Somerset, unless I'm on leave and go look for him during lunch time.

I'm going to miss lunch with him awfully much. I'm going to miss snoozing at OC's comfortable sofa seats too. =(
Lunch came and went, and all of us went down to our new office to set up our PCs and got our workstations ready for operation on Monday.

We've all been tagged!

I'm ready to rock 'n' roll at MBC.

SAFRA Singapore Bay Run '11
So I did yet another 10km event. Walked quite a lot at today's event but I'm hoping my results will be better than my GE's timing of 1:24.

Sweet success. And I really dig my number bib. What are the odds of getting a number that is the same whether you read it forward or backwards. Heh!
Today's run was so bad that I wanted to give up slightly under 5km. I was walking, catching my breath with my head down, and when I looked up, I saw the Boyfriend who finished his 21km and was waiting at that spot just hoping to catch me. He took a short walk with me and it was a fantastic booster that spurred me on, and I eventually completed the 10km. Thank you. =)

Batam
As a 3rd month celebration, K bought a short trip to Batam for the 2 of us last week.

Our resort was pretty nice, although the room was a little small.

Because there was nothing to do around the resort, and the "swimming pool" was too gross looking to utilize, we car-pooled with another group of Singaporeans and went out to town.

And of course, we whacked A&W! I haven't had A&W ever since they closed down in Singapore, but I was quite disappointed with the waffle ice cream. The rootbeer float didn't fail though!
The cabbie was scheduled to come back to get us 6 hours later and we finished combing the place in about an hour, which left us dying of boredom for the next 5 hours. It was then I learnt that somebody can't frown for nuts!

HAHAHAHAHA!
The following day was slightly better as we had a half day city tour.

And we left Batam with a beautiful sight at the ferry terminal.
