Last Race of 2012

2012 is coming to an end, and with so many run events that we have participated this year, D and I ended with our final event being the Great Eastern Women's Run 2012.

My 7th event this year, and also my last for the year. The cool thing I realized, was that my first run event last year (which was also the first ever run event I participated), was the Great Eastern Women's Run 2011, and this year I end my last event with it as well.

Not my best timing for 10km, but it was still not too bad a race at 1:05:17 (unofficial timing).

Tired and sweaty after our run, but still able to smile for the camera. =)

We then met up with K, J and B who went for their Passion Run and leisure run respectively, for brunch at Hatched.

And now, I look forward to HK Standard Chartered event in February 2013!

BKK Day 3 - 16 June 2012

Day 3 in BKK saw me with a massive haul and I considered that as an achievement because clothes do not usually scream out to me to buy them just like that. I have an odd shape body, which makes it extremely hard to buy clothes that fit me well.

I know of many people who MUST visit A&W whenever they go abroad ever since it closed down in Singapore, and my boyfriend is one of them. Lunch saw us at A&W, and the boyfriend was happy like what only.

It was a productive day for me because I managed to return to the hotel room with a truckload of purchases after just 4 hours.

After the afternoon shopping spree, we rested for a bit before meeting up with Dilys and her friends who arrived that evening. Settled dinner at a cafe in Baiyoke Sky Hotel.

We asked for a table for 6 and the waiter looked at our group and said, "(in Thai) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... (pointed at me) This one baby chair." The group burst into laughter, and I felt so embarrassed for a moment.

The cafe was like fine dining, but it was super cheap! With that kind of setting, ambience and food quality for that super cheap price, it is something that cannot be found in Singapore, or at least, not that I know of.

Babymeh and I in action!

Dil's friends.

After dinner, we made our way to the supermarket which was a good 15 minutes walk away. The night view in BKK was not too bad in my opinion.

Catching Up With Old Friends

It is undeniably always a good feeling when I get to catch up with friends I haven't met for some time.

Today was also the day for V to finally introduce her recent beau to us. After what she's been through, I'm happy for her that she's finally found someone who seem to cherish her a lot.

So anyway, I suggested Arbite to my friends, and off we went there for lunch!
.

3 beers and 1 cappuccino please!

Seafood Pie

Pulled Pork Wrap

Fritatta

Arbite Breakfast

Green Tea Fettucine

Super happy for you babe. =)

2nd March Madness

Lately, my girlfriend is into crazy-picture-taking expeditions, or to put it in a nicer manner, photography. So she suggested that we should increase the frequency of us meeting up to take pictures of anything and everything. And within a week of talking about it, we got down to our very first "expedition".

And as usual, I'll let the photos roll...

Simple dinner to rev up our metabolism!

Xiao Mei Mei on the loose!

A lot of energy was expensed off from the time we had dinner to the time we crossed the Helix Bridge. So we headed to TWG for desserts! A girl's best friend on the lips (a moment on the lips), but worst enemy on the hips (a lifetime on the hips), BUT WHO CARES!

Sometimes, I really do not know where this girl gets all her energy from, but when she's hyper, she's REALLY AWFULLY HYPER! Like a little kid high on sugar rush or something!

Like a kid. Like a kid. Like a kid. HAHA!

Somehow love this picture a lot as it emits a pretty calming effect.

We'll have our Part 2 soon some day. =)

Brunch.. @ 3.30pm

When people say Brunch, they are usually referring to a meal eaten between breakfast and lunch, which most people would assume it to be a time between 11am to 1pm. However, knowing how my friends are (mostly cranky and abnormal, just like me), we met for Brunch at 3.30pm, which should have been afternoon tea instead.

So anyway, I brought them to Arbite because I've been there a couple of times and everytime I patronize them, I always leave with a happy palate and an even happier tummy.

2 pots of Peach Nectar tea

Before our food arrived, my 2 friends who became friends with each other in the weirdest way ever, began their nonsensical act as they ALWAYS do. Seriously, I have no idea what is up with this two, but no, they are not an item, and no, I highly doubt that will ever happen.

Introducing DL and DL!

And our food finally came!

Pan Fried Dory Meuniere & Tiger Prawns

Arbite Breakfast

Eggs Benedict

Great looking food coupled with fantastic natural lighting in the eatery, and armed with my DSLR, I totally love how the pictures taken at Arbite turned out.

And there are only 3 types of food because K and I had the exact same thing; the Eggs Benedict.

Bring Me Back To The Past

I have an unspoken love for my Secondary School friends, simply because whenever we meet up, they make me feel that life isn't as lousy as I often perceive it it be, because with them, laughter is always the core ingredient. Meeting them never fail to bring back many nostalgic memories.

13 years since we've met each other on the first day of Secondary School, and nothing has changed other than the fact that our friendship keep growing with each meetup (or at least, that's how I feel).

An impromptu decision the night before found us at Arbite located at Serangoon Gardens for lunch the following day. J, G and I met up first and we indulged in a little beer at lunch.

Rose Beer, Apple Cider Beer, Peach Beer

G's Pappardelle with Braised Beef

J's Tagliatelle with Mushrooms & Parma Ham

My Smoked Salmon Smorgasbord

The food was good! And I'm a sucker for all-day-breakfast, hence my selection. I saw the girls at the next table with Eggs Benedict and they looked freaking awesome (the eggs benedict, not the girls)! That shall be my next brunch!

N came while we were halfway through lunch, and she ordered something that made me camera-ready.

N's Squid Ink Tagliatelle Seafood

A pity they used tomato base sauce instead of squid ink. Otherwise, I'm sure we'd all have some "black smiles" fun. On a side note, nobody would believe that we're all 25-going-26.

We adjourned to Udders after lunch, where V joined us and since I brought my DSLR, I thought we might as well have some crazy kiddy fun with it!

For the first set 10 shots, we weren't ready for that super-sonic shutter speed, hence the retarded-ness in the first 3 frames and shocked looks in the following 7.

After we got the hang of it from the first round, our second set of 10 shots saw us doing really crazy stuffs.

I love these bunch of people. And for those who could not make it, there's always a next time! =)
