1/4 Of A Century Old

My 25th birthday on 25th May was superb, and it was my joy who made everything possible. On the eve of my birthday, I was already pleasantly surprised with so many surprises the instant I knocked off from work.

My joy came by to get me in a car borrowed from a very awesome man who trusted a young adult with his car, just like that.


And then it was off to dinner at Privé!



It was a pity that the joy's plan did not flow as initially planned, and so we missed the breakfast menu which was available only till 5pm. But our order of Ramly Burger and fries with truffle dip we shared were so so so good!


The plan after dinner really caught me off-guard. Sure, my joy told me to pack some clothes and that we would be spending the night out but I never expected that a room at Sentosa Siloso Beach Resort to be booked! It was also when my birthday cake (cupcakes rather), a super lovingly handmade card and an awesome gift were presented to me!




The handmade card was beautiful and very creatively made! Seriously, I would never have been able to do something like that, because I was never an arty farty person, and I doubt I can ever be creative. Love the card to the max! And the cupcakes were so pretty that I felt bad digging into them. But they were really YUMMY!

On the actual day of my birthday, my joy brought me to Universal Studios Singapore, and we had Tim & Evo there with us! With that, I'll just let the pictures roll...

And the story behind these shots went like that:

Charlie was so engrossed with the joy's DSLR and totally did not pay me any attention. And then Evo shouted, "It's her birthday today!" Ahh, that got me some attention from Charlie and he extended his arm out to me.

With a very smug and contented look on my face for winning Charlie over, the boyfriend felt a little left out and decided to close in, but Charlie shunned away. I didn't know that Charlie was leaning in on me because he was "getting away" from the boyfriend. At that point in time, I thought Charlie was being annoying and was just trying to push me. So, the little fighter in me fought back by pushing Charlie in return. And that's how the push fest started.

After which, Charlie pulled me away and ran off with me, with my hand still in the crook of his arm! And it was a "HAH! I stole your girlfriend, dude" moment! Seriously, these shots are priceless!

The night ended with dinner at Spruce, followed by Pirates of the Caribbean at IMAX, which I slept through almost the entire show and got so mad at myself for that. I hate being sick. =( Anyway... DINNER!




Thank you love, for making my 25th such a memorable one. Thank you for everything that you've done for me so far. Thank you for being being you. And thank you for loving me. I can never ever be more grateful to have met you.

It's Been Awhile...

Attended service with M & A today and for the first time ever, I saw my joy suited up!

Afterwhich, we went for food at Waraku! Dinner for me, but it was my joy's breakfast, lunch AND dinner altogether at 6pm. So unhealthy. =(

So as we were waiting for our food to arrive, the switch to our retarded mode automatically flipped on and it really cracked us up.


Right before our food came, we attempted a proper picture together before nom-noming!



It's been awhile since I last had a long night walk, looking at the skyline of Singapore, and enjoying the night breeze in my face. And it was something that my joy had always wanted to do but never got the chance to.

I guess I felt a little too hyper that I couldn't stop with the madness at Waraku, and so...


HAHAHAHAHAH!

Happy Birthday Daddy =)

Mommy made an Oreo Cheesecake for Daddy's birthday. It was so awesome, as always! Happy Birthday Daddykins!

Simplicity

We find joy in having a cheap deal dinner, followed by aimlessly walking through town, and ending the night off with a cheap deal dessert. I love deals so much that I think I'm secretly addicted to buying them. And the awesome fact is that at a pittance cost, it made 2 people very happy.



May Never Ends With K.

Lazy Saturday

It's the Annual Durian Fiesta at Goodwood Park Hotel once again! A couple of days back, V asked if I would like to go for it with her, and because I wanted to introduce K to her, and knowing that K is a sucker for durians, I invited K along!

It's awesome to indulge like this once in awhile, bitching with the girlfriend, and just sinking our teeth into freaking awesome durian mousse cake, durian strudel and durian crepes.




Every single mouthful of all of the above was really quite orgasmic, and it was really nice to just enjoy the afternoon like that, along with the fact that I knew I was making someone really happy too. =)))

I hope you enjoyed the experience with my friend and I. Thank you for being so thoughtful too, towards my Mom. And I know you already can't wait to go back there for more of such goodness! Durian Strudel FTW!

Journey To The East

Because somebody randomly wanted to have Ikea meatballs, we made our way down to Ikea Tampines for some meatball-loving.

The cheesecake he recommended me to eat was WAHHH I WANT MORE! I've never tasted such awesome cheesecake before, and the base of the cake was uber delicious! It actually looked really normal, like it was nothing fantastic. But this is a serious case of "never judge a book by its cover". I'm sold.

And then, like kids, we walked through Ikea and did the stupidest things ever. We laughed at and laughed with one another, did things that were not planned, and simply be comfortably silly together.

Because he managed to reach Strike 10 (or 11) within days, I "chopped" his head off.


But I can't stay mean for long (unlike somebody @#$%^), so we got a proper shot.

Something Right

A new month, a new start.

Sometimes it's just so amazing how 2 people can click, hit it off really well, and create something from nothing. To be able to laugh at and with one another in the early stages, really is something positive.

I choose to believe. =)

The Best Saturday So Far!

It's been a really long while since I last had so much fun, where I laughed like I really meant it, and where the sour heavy feeling in me is mostly gone.

So anyway, my Sister-In-Law's friend recently started a shoes business online, and I heard that the shoes are so comfortable that they do not bite. I was immediately sold when I heard that, for I have the most useless feet around where any and every footwear will bite my feet.

I popped by the website, and left with 2 purchases. The shoes came really quickly, and it was hand-delivered to me right up to my door step (or in my case, gate step).

Seriously, these 2 pair of shoes have got to be my best buy EVER! Cheap, pretty and so so so comfortable! I could run in those heels! And I'm sure like anything that if I were to party in those heels, I'd still be able to go for my run the same night! The flats, needless to say, was more comfortable than comfortable. I hope there will be more varieties soon!

So right after I received my lovely shoes, my lovely babe came to my place for a sisterly chillout session. And we really had crazy fun messing around in my super orange bedroom!

And then I got a text from a friend, asking if I would like to join him and another mutual friend for drinks that evening. My BFF was game for it, so I got ready and off we went to Overeasy for drinks.


I'm so glad to have know you babe. You've been such a great joy to me, and it's been years now, but it still feels like I only just knew you. =)

Lion King

The decision to catch The Lion King musical was a fantabulous one! Cat B seats though costly, was seriously worth every penny when you get to see the expressions of the actors.

I totally love the fact that a touch of Singapore was blended into the musical, which made it amusing and "catered" for Singapore. No regrets, seriously!






After the awesome musical, we filled our tummies fat with Indian food, followed by dessert. Yummy!



My Sunday couldn't have been better. =) Or maybe it could. =)))

Exercise Is Fun

Second time I joined my family for a Sunday walk. The Sunday that just passed, we began from somewhere along Upper Thomson, all the way to Bukit Timah. 2 hours of brisk walking and my ass is aching quite a bit now. LOL!



The beauty of Nature.

The cheeky BabyMeh came out to play while we stopped midway to rehydrate as well as knock sand out of our shoes.

As we were heading towards Bukit Timah, we went off-route a little, but that additional no-through route we took rewarded us with fresh air and a beautiful serene view.



And right before we hit the main road where we could hop onto a bus back to where we first started out, we had to cross a railway track and that felt like I was in the 80s or something.

Jolly

Too many designs to choose from and I finally settled on this Jolly design after much contemplation. The shop keeper was extremely uncouth and annoying, which dampened my mood and made my shopping trip rather unpleasant.

But nonetheless, still so happy with my Jolly mug! =)

Chillax With The Sister

6 months since I last saw the wacky and funny girlfriend (excluding the time I saw her at church last week). We finally got to meet up properly yesterday, and spent a good 6+ hours shopping, eating, and chilling.





I love you, girlfriend. And I absolutely adore the candid shot you took of me at Starbucks. Thank you!

And a shopping trip is never complete without some self-loving.


I am totally in love with my Moleskine limited edition Peanuts notebook. I do not know if I will ever bear to write in it at all, but whatever the case, I love it so much. =)

Bought tickets to The Lion King musical for 10 April 2011. Now I have something to look forward to in April! Can't wait!

Awesome Sunday!

I had one of the best Sunday yesterday! Went all the way to Clementi to support the bestfriend in her Church performance.

It was there I met another May-anne, cute with bangs. And I met the bestfriend's other besties. It was great fun, hanging out with the "energizer bunny" and her closest friends!
